  • Santa Anna Crossed Into Texas

    Early February, Santa Anna crossed the Rio Grande. His army arrived in San Antonio on February 23.
  • Declaration Of Independence Was Adopted

    March 2nd the Declaration Of Independence was adopted by unanimous vote of the Convention and the delegates who were present signed the document. We celebrate March 2nd as the Texas Independence Day.
  • Dispatch Was Received

    At mrning, during breakfast, a dispatch was received from Travis Dated Alamo. Members of Convention and citizens all crowded into the Convention room to hear it read. "A great many persons are...preparing to start to the scenes of fighting. In the afternoon Houston left, accomanied by his staff. Town has been in a bustle all day, but now quiet enough.
  • Houston calls a Council of War

    Battle Of San Jacinto had started. At 3:30 in the afternoon, Houston ordered his officers to assemble the troops for an immeddiate attack. Houston's army didnt loose so much soldiers like Anna had. Santa Anna had dissapeared during the fight.
