TECHNOLOGICAL CHANGES, INVENTIONS TO IMPROVE LIFE

  • The Seed drill

    The Seed drill
    It was invented by Jethro Tull in 1701, it consists in farming machine made of wood that has to be horse-drawn with the help of four big wheels and some segments in where seeds are puted inside. The seed drill has a plough at the front which dugs the seeds in the ground and then a harrow attached to the rear inmediately covers they, planting the seeds, growning plants and making big crops.
    The invention of the seed drill changed, and improved a lot the way of the farming making the work easier.
  • The Mercury thermometrer

    The Mercury thermometrer
    Daniel Gabriel Fahrenheit was the inventor of the mercury thermometer. He used mercury and some improved glass working technique to make it. This thermometer was the most precise one that existed, helping so much people to notice that their temperature was so high and they were sick.
  • The Diving bell

    The Diving bell
    Guglielmo of Lorena was the invertor, that is a chamber that was used to transport the divers from the surface to the deph and back in open water for working on underwater performance. It was made for using the natural sources that are in the sea and for the rescue of value things.
    The Diving bell cannot move under the water. Its structure is lowered underwater to operate as a base or a means of transport for a few divers.
    The first one to be invented had as the name says, the shape of a bell.

    This was invented by Ambrose Godfrey who was a chemist.
    It consistided in a methalic cask of a fire-extinguishing liquid that contained a pewter chamber of gunpowder. This was connected to a system of fuses that were ignited, exploding the gunpowder and droping the solution.

    Maded by Prokop Diviš in 1752 the lightning rod is a metal rod mounted on a structure and covered underground for protecting it from a lightning strike.
    If lightning hits the structure, it will strike the rod and be conducted to ground through a wire, instead of passing through the structure.

    In 1790 the inventos Thomas Saint invented the sewing up machine for making rhe work of sewing up easier because they did it with needle and thread.
    The first sewing up machine was made exclusively for sewing up thin fabrics.
    It consists in a needle with two sharps and a buttonhole in the end.
    this invention helped a lot of people around the world to make any costure repair to their clothes so easily without the need of been sew up by hand, or by a dressmaker.
