    In 1960 Theodore Maiman finished his work on the 'Laser'. This is something we may not think of on our daily basis, but if we dig deeper we can appreciate the importance of this invention.
    Something as simple as scanning our groceries at the store to the countless uses in industries such as medical and construction.

    In 1964 Douglas Engelbart created a wooden box with two gears inside of it, that we now know as 'The Mouse'. Interacting with computers systems would not be the same today without this invention. No doubt the most popular Operating Systems of our time Windows/ MAC would not have been what they were without the idea of interaction that a mouse could give us.

    DRAMming Speed!
    Though Robert Dennard did not actually invent RAM (Random Access Memory), he did revolutionize it and create DRAM(Dynamic Random Access Memory). This changed RAM forever, creating more effective computing, faster computing and smaller chips overall.

    1968 brought us APRANET. This was the first widespread network between computers. Created by the US military for military purposes, this was a great stepping on the path of networking. Networking which is priceless to our society today.

    1968 brings us video games! Ralph Baer introduces our homes to Magnavox Odyssey! It's game 'Tabletop Tennis' isn't much to be desired to our standards today, but we are looking at the first household console we could own 42 years ago.
