Tennis Court Oath:

The Reign of Terror was lead by Robespierre. It is estimated that 16,594 were killed using a guillotine. But, at the end of the Reign of Terror, Robespierre was also executed with a guillotine.

Napoleon Crowns Himself Emperor:

In Napoleon's coronation, he decided to put the crown on himself instead of the pope putting it on him. He did this to show everyone that he doesn't owe his position as emperor to a divine power.

Archduke Franz Ferdinand's Assassination:

Archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife were assassinated by Gavrilo Princip in a Austro-Hungarian province. This assassination was so important because it was one of the events that eventually lead to WWI.

Nicholas II Abdicates the Throne:

At the end of the Febuary Revolution, Nicholas II decided to leave the throne. After leaving the throne, Nicholas was executed along his family.
