  • Camping at Lake Wapello

    Camping at Lake Wapello
We stayed in a cabin here for a week. We went fishing, hiking, rode our bikes and on a rainy day took the 30 mile drive to Rathbun Lake, a HUGE reservoir about 80 miles SSE of Des Moines and drove arouund. After the week was up, we took the 7 hour drive home.
  • Early 4th

    Early 4th
We celebrated an early 4th of July because Dad was leaving for France way early on the 4th. We did the usual things we do like sparklers, smoke bombs, etc. Then we watched other people's early fireworks.
  • Dad in France

    Dad in France
My dad and Henry's brother Sam went to Strasbourg, France for an academy. This class would make my Dad a better pastor. They flew to Paris, saw the Eiffel Tower and went to the Louvre to see the Mona Lisa. Then they went to Spain to see my uncle and cousins, transferred to Switzerland and arrived in Minneapolis at midnight on the 26th. They drove back home the next day.
  • Won Library Drawing

    Won Library Drawing
I was in the reading program at the library this year. We filled out reading bingo sheets, and for every row you got you recieved one entry to win an Amazon Kindle. They had the drawing and I won.
  • Go to Grandma's

    Go to Grandma's
We went to Grandma's in Wall Lake, IA so Dad could catch up on his sleep after the France time change. We stayed for 2 nights. We came home on the 30th.
  • Go to KCMO

    Go to KCMO
We drove to Kansas City, Missouri in our van loaded with our vacation stuff and stayed the night at my aunt and uncle's house. The next day we went to a BBQ place voted on a list of Top 10 places to eat before you die. It was so busy so we took it home and ate it. We played with my 6 month cousin Kolby and then went to a winery. The next day we went to church and then left for Lake of the Ozarks.
  • Lake of the Ozarks

    Lake of the Ozarks
We went to Lake of the Ozarks from Kansas City. We caught a Northern Fence Lizard and I nearly caught an armadillo. The place was so isolated that we took NARROW gravel fire roads winding in and out of trees for nearly a mile before we got to our lakeside cabin. It was fun- we hiked and fished a lot. We went home after about 5 days.
