    in order to be a stable civilization you need some form leadership or government, and in Mesopotamia they had that with kinds in each of the mass cities. Under these kings were all of the priests, nobles so on until finally at the bottom were the slaves. this style of leadership can still be seen today and we still have kings, queens, priests, and military.     Mesopotamia Cuneiform
    Mesopotamia is said to be one of the first civilizations known to man. and in a civilization you need communication and the Mesopotamian gave us a form of communication that we still use to this day, the ability to read and write. Although they didn't speak English they used Cuneiform as a form of writing and reading which can be said as the first sighting of the ability to do so. Cuneiform is a group of pictures carved of a stone first used by the Sumerians in 3500 BCE. (1)

    this pyramid built by Khufu is the largest Pyramid in the world, the pyramid stands around 450 feet now but was presumed to be around 480 feet when built. Each block is presumed to weigh at least 2 tons. the pyramid took over 60 years to build. (4)

    King Tut otherwise known as Tutankhamun was an Egyptian pharaoh. he was the last of his family to rule Egypt. he died at the age of 19 after a leg infection from a broken leg. he was introduced into royal life right away as his father was the previous ruler. king Tut married his sister Ankheseamun the couple had 2 daughters but they were believed to be stillborn.     The people of Ancient Greece had many different beliefs as they were polytheistic people, this is when you have the belief in more than one god. one polytheistic religions to this day is Hinduism. The Greeks had thousands of gods but there were there group of main gods such as Zeus and Poseidon. They believed that there ruler was even a god and that's why they were chosen to rule. the main gods they worshiped were called Olympians and the others the kind of side gods were titans. (6)

    Alexander the great will forever be known as one of the greatest leaders Greece has ever seen, his knowledge and strategy gave him such an advantage in war, that truth be told he had never lost a battle in his 12 years as the ruler of Greece. Alexander used a unique tactic never seen in war before he called it the Phalanx, the Phalanx was when soldiers would line up in a box with shields upfront and spears facing the opponents and spears facing diagonal and straight, to kill anything coming.     Of all the ancient Romans Julius Caesar is probably the most popular, his ability to command at such a young age brought him power. He is most known for his way of commanding and making his troops so loyal to him, he lead Rome through many battles and invaded Britain twice. But like all good thing it has to come to an end, he was assassinated in 44 BCE, his leadership was passed down to his son Augustus. (8)

    The Colosseum in ancient Rome was a place for entertainment if you were on the right side of the wall, but on the other it was a battle for life and forgiveness. the Colosseum was used for battle between two brave gladiators, or a tiger eating a group of Christians . it was a violent place were hungry animals and innocent people were slaughtered by one another. The Colosseum has a predicted death toll of over 400,000 people over Romes time. (7)

    William Wallace was a Scottish leader in the battles of Scotland's Independence. Andrew Moray and William Wallace lead Scotland to many small battles against England winning almost all of them because of the twos great knowledge in war. The Scottish did win a major battle against the English because of the affair the wife of the kings son was having with William. The victory in the war would lead to Williams capture by the English were he was public executed. (10)

    for along time England was the ruler of all of the united kingdom, but Scotland had finally had enough of there people being used as slaves for the British so they had attacked England in a series of militaristic campaigns over the years.
