    King louis XVI brings together the Estates-General. This meeting wasn’t made since the year 1614. The Estates-General is a general assembly/meeting which represents the French estates of the realm.This meeting was held by King Louis XVI to address to propose solutions for the government, since the government was going through financial problems.

    June 17 1789 Assembly. King Louis the XVI wasn’t doing any progress with the third estates because he had closed them from any further discussions and decision making. The National Assembly helped the people who didn’t have a voice and later on the King didn’t have control over their lives anymore.

    This took place in Paris, France. The medieval fortress and prison were representing the royal authority in the centre of Paris. The prison was made of seven inmates and this was a symbol of abuse towards the monarchy. This was a fall of the French Revolution.

    This is known as one of the central events of the French revolution due to the abolish feudalism and some of the old rules, taxes and privileges. The National Constituent Assembly started addressing this problem of taxation and other problems the night of 4 August 1789. Later on the National Assembly got to put to an end the way the feudal system was being handled.

    This was the day were the Declarations of the Rights of Man and of the Citizens happend. The declaration was influenced by Thomas Jefferson he was influenced by the Enlightenment philosophers and the natural rights that all men have. This had a major impact later on, on the development of freedom and democracy worldwide.

    This day was also known as The October march. This was one of the most significant events in the French revolution. The march took place in the marketplaces of Paris. The women’s march brought the great monarchy of Versailles to an end and even transformed the role of women in the revolution. The government changed from a monarchy to a republic government by the help of women.

    The establishment of the first republic was also part of this day. This came one year after King Louis had approved the new constitution that gained much more power.
  • Louis XVI is Executed.

    Louis XVI is Executed.
    Louis had a hostile behavior towards the National Assembly. Louis had previously tried to escape and run away from France in June 1791. He was caught before he and his family could run away. Public opinion started to be against him after he was returned under guard to Paris.
  • Reign of Terror

    This day is known by Reign of Terror due to the fact that Maximilien Robespierre was overthrown and arrested by the National Convention. He encouraged the execution of many of enemies of the revolution.
