    The war finally came to an end at the Aegospotami River. All the Athenians were dead, and the Spartan army had conquered Athens. The Spartan general Lysander defeated the Athenians. This event was important because it affected many city-states, and if the outcome was different it could have changed todays world.

It is important because it was dedicated to the Godess of Athena and this project was finally finished after 15 years, which shows dedication. The Parthnin showed the culture and the dedication of the Athenians.

Also it give several rights that we still have today, and without out them we wouldn't be free.
