    Magna Carta
There was a rebellion being led by the nobility, and it was getting out of control. The monarch at the time, King John, decided to agree with a document that was brought up by them. It was called the "Magna Carta", and it established the idea that the monarch would not abuse their power and follow the same rules as the rest of the citizens of the nation.
