Sarah Joanne Murphy is born in Christchurch Women's Hospital
My birth was quite dramatic. It was a difficult birth and Daddy noticed that my heart rate was slower than it should be and I was removed by emergency caesarean. My mother and I were then transffered to Rangiora Hospital three days later.
  • Granny and Grandpa come and visit me for the first time.

Granny and Grandpa come and visit me for the first time.
Granny came over to help Mum and Dad cope with me, help do house hold chores and look after me. I can't remember it but from what I've heard they helped out a lot!
  • My first day at Pepper-Tree preschool.

It was very upsetting for my mother, of course, but I remember that I had a lot of fun there. When I got there we danced and sang songs. From what I remember I enjoyed it a lot.
  • My brother, Brendan, is born.

    My brother, Brendan, is born.
Unfortunately, my mother also had to have caesarean to have my brother removed except in far more calmer circumstances. I remember that I saw Mum and Dad drive off in the car and my Mum's great friend, Nana Dee, came over and looked after me.
  • We move to Dunedin Street in Christchurch.

I don't remember much about about the move but I do have some memories of the place. One time we thought we heard this MASSIVE truck rumbling past but there weren't any trucks on the road and it turns out that it was a very deep earthquake!
  • Bubble bath times with Daddy.

Whenever I had a bubble bath Daddy would pile up bubbles on my head and pretend I had an 'afro'. I loved having them!
  • We move to 24 Demeter Avenue, Adelaide, Australia.

The reason why we moved to Australia is because Daddy was offered a good job over there. When we arrived there we had to stay in an apartment block for the first six weeks (and experience loads of power cuts) until we found a place to rent - 24 Demeter Avenue.
  • Starting primary school.

    Starting primary school.
We had to buy a uniform for my school - Athelstone Primary School. I only went there for six weeks because soon we'd be going away for five weeks holiday!

We go on our 2005 trip.
My brother and I were sooooooooooooooooo excited! We flew to Singapore for a night and we then flew to England for four weeks. There we visited our Granny, Grandpa and Great Granny. We did all sorts of things there and we then flew to Singapore again for three days. There we went to Sentosa Island. We then flew back to Australia and arrived there on 10th October.
  • We move back to New Zealand.

We move back to New Zealand.
We moved back to New Zealnad because of a job offer in Fonterra for Daddy. We ended up in Cambridge at 48 Moore Street.
  • Sitting on rooftops with Dad.

    Sitting on rooftops with Dad.
What we'd do is Dad would hoist himself up onto the roof and then he would dangle his arms down and I would catch them and he would lift me up on to the roof. We'd sit and watch sunsets and look out over the city - it was a lot of fun!
  • Good times at Moore Street

    Good times at Moore Street
We had loads of good times at Moore Street from just setting up the pool in the back yard or climbing the grape fruit tree.

We decorated the tree, we had put the presents under it, we had hung up the other Christmas decorations around the house. We were in the Christmas spirit!

Putting up the tent in the back yard and having BBQ's.
We all helped put up the tent and we then had a barbarque afterwards. We do this every year and it is so much fun!
  • Holiday at Pukihina beach/batch.

    Holiday at Pukihina beach/batch.
We rented out a batch right by the beach. We could go and swim in the surf any time we wanted to! There were lots of nooks and crannies that Brendan and I explored and we even experienced a little earthquake!
  • We finally move into our new home!

We finally move into our new home!
After looking for two and a half years we finally found our dream home! 15 Whitehall Road is our new home with 11 acres of land, a half-round barn, a horse arena, a stream, sheep, cows, a tractor and picturesque land scape!

We get a new dog called Penny!
We drove for an hour when we went to choose our dog. We were going to choose another dog but we ended up getting Penny. Just as well because she is such a funny and characterful animal!
  • Our stream floods.

    Our stream floods.
We had been having some really heavy rain for the past few days. One morning I looked at the steam and it was just a meter and a half from touching the bottom of the bridge! Later on that day Mum came to pick Brendan and I up from school because she was worried that we wouldn't be able to get back home. (Because the water might flood over the bridge and we wouldn't be able to drive back over it.)
  • We get our first pet lambs.

We get our first pet lambs.
We get our first pet lambs Daisy, Daffidol and Jock. We had great fun feeding them and looking after them. We found them in paddocks were there the mother had just abandoned them. We wrapped them in a towel and bought them inside in a box with straw covered in a towel by the fire. We then heated up a little bit of lamb's milk and tried to feed them. You knew when the started sucking (which is basically a miracle) when bubbles started rising in the milk. It was so much fun!

We go on our 2009 trip!
We go on our 2009 trip to Hong Kong, U.K, Germany and Los Angeles. In Hong Kong we stayed at the Cosmopolitin Hotel. Luckily the hotel let us in early and we had a four hour snooze. When Dad and Brendan went out to buy sandwiches Dad booked up a tour. First we would go on an open deck double-decker bus and then we would have dinner on a boat. The picture you see of me is when we stopped to look out on Hong Kong from the top deck of the bus. It was amazing!

We get our new cat Katie!
The afternoon before we had walked into a pet shop and saw this really nice and cute looking cat AND she looked like our dog! So the next morning Mum took us to have an ice-scream at McDonadlds while Dad 'said' that he ws getting a newspaper but he was actually getting that cat!

Penny loves her frisbees and the picture you see is her sitting on a chair with her head draped over one of the arms with her frisbee in her mouth.
  • I have my appendix removed.

On Tuesday afternoon I started having pains in my right side of my lower stomach. On Wednesday I had the day off school and for some reason I lost my appetite and so I had no dinner. Mum looked up on the Internet about what she thought I might be having and I'd been having the symptons for appendicitus. She took me into Angelsea Clinic and there a doctor examined me and sent me to the Waikato Hospital. There we waited for a while and I finally got sen to by a doctor.
  • I have my appendix removed (continued).

I have my appendix removed (continued).
The doctors were unsure about me and so they kept me in overnight in the Children's Ward. At 3am in the morning they put me in wheelchair and wheeledme over to ward 53. The next morning they had a young docot come in and poked and prodded me and said that I didn't have appendicitus and then an older, more experienced doctor came in and poked and prodded me and declared that I had appendicitus. At 2:20pm that day I was wheeled in my bed to the theatre. Dad, Brendan and Mum came to visit me lots.
