    Marxists revolutionaries disagree over revolutionary tactics. The more radical Bolsheviks are ready to risk everything. The charismatic Vladimir Lenin becomes the leader.

    On February 8th 1904 the empire of Japan declared war on Russia over control of Manchuria and Korea

    Protest spreads through St. Petersburg and the Royal palace is taken over. Czar abdicates. Provisional Government (DUMA) takes control by Alexander Kerensky. Provisional government unpopular after decision to stay in WWI

    Bolsheviks accept the peace of Brest- Litovsk ending WWI in Germany.

    White armies attacks the Reds from all direction. The Reds defeated the Whites.
  • Kronstadt Revolt

    The Kronstadt rebellion was an unsuccessful revolt against the Bolsheviks.
  • USSR was founded

    On the 30th of December, 1944 the Union of Soviet Socialist republics was founded
