The soon to be king, Henry Bolingbroke is born. is father is John of Gaunt, cousin to the current King Richard. His mother was Blanche of Lancaster, she was also the heir to the Lancaster estates.

Henry married Mary de Bohun. Together, they had four sons and two daughters. Mary then died in 1394.

Son of the soon to be King Henry IV, Prince Henry is born. His mother is Mary de Bohun. Prince Henry was born in Monmouth Castle in Wales.

The Lod Appellants are people who opposed King Richard II's court. In 1397, several of the Lord Appellants were banished, Henry was not one of them. This event leads up to Henry's own banishment.

Henry went on a pilgrimage to Jerusalem in 1392-1393. There, he made offerings at Holy Sepulchre and the Mount of Olives. Later he promised to lead a crusade to "free Jerusalem from the infidel," however, he died before he could do so.

King Richard II of England, Henry's cousin, banished Henry from England. The banishment was supposed to last ten years. A little while later, the king also took Henry's land.

In 1386, Henry and a few friends talked and planned about overthrowing the current King Richard. During those years, Henry's father died and Richard claimed everything that was rightfully left to Henry. He then become so angy he and his friends put all their talk into action and eventually in 1399 won the throne.

King Henry takes the crown from King Richard. He becomes the first King of Lancaster. King Henry was never supposed to become king. -
After Henry's corination to recieve the crown, he put the past King Richard in imprisionment. He then died soon after from mysterious circumstances. This event caused a lot of questioning about King Henry's right to the throne.

Henry's rule over England was full of conflict and rebellion. Because he was not techniqually next in the blood line, or in the blood line at all, he was never supposed to be king. It was considered to be sinful to take a crown that was not rightfully yours, so the people of England never fully respected him.

After much rebellion between Owen Gledower and Prince Henry, King Henry finally squashes the rebellion. What had happened was that Owen Glendower declared himself Prince of Wales, with apparent help from Prince Henry. Whenever rebellion rose btween the people, King Henry quickly handled the situation.

King Henry marries Joanna of Navarre. Together, they never had children. Joanna outlived the king but died a few years later in 1437.

This battle was fought between King Henry IV and Harry Percy from Northumberland. This battle was fought because King Henry was holding Harry's cousin Edmund Mortimor in imprisonment because if he had not of killed King Richard, Mortimor would have been next to the throne. Also, Harry refused to relinquish the soldiers that were rightfully Henry's to him. During this battle, Harry Percy was announced dead.

King Henry suffers from an unnamed illness. To this day nobody know what could have cased the attacks or what the attack could have been. Some suspect leprosy, but whatever the disease was, he had many outbreaks leading to his death.

The Archbishop of York leads a failed uprising in northen England. The end result was the Archbishop and other leaders involved being executed. Northumberland again flees to Scotland.

Northumberland's rebellion against King Henry in 1408 was quickly quieted. This rebellion was also one of the last armed rebellions against the king. The end result was Northumberland's death during battle.

Since King Henry IV was so bad in office, his son, Prince Hal, took over many duties. Some duties included battles and foreign affairs. He also delt with duties around the castle.

In 1401 King Henry recieved from Parliament the enactment of burning heretics at the stake. Because of the previous circumstances, in 1410 Parliament proposed to take away church land. King Henry did not want to tear down the church that helped him to power, so he quickly struck down the bill.

Henry has always had a problem with skin diseases. To this day, people have no idea how King Henry died. Although, they do suspect a skin disease, such as epilepsy.

After his death, King Henry was buried at Canterbury Cathedral. No other kings were buried there. He was given an alabaster effigy, or coffin.

After King Henry died, his son, Prince Henry takes over the throne. Because Prince Henry was already taking care of many duties, it was not much of a big transition. Fortunatley, The new King of England was much better than his father.
