    The Republic of Rome is very significant because it was the first Republic in history. It is also evident in our government today.
  • Persian War

    The war between Persia and Greece consisted of two different invasions. The first was led by king Darius and the second by his son. In the end the Greeks won surprisingly with a smaller army, they just had to unite as one. Ended in 450 BCE.
  • Golden age of Athens

    Golden age of Athens

    The Golden age of Athens was crucial. During this time many things were invented and discovered. Amphitheaters built, Plays written, Story's told and many other achievements such as Homers works and Philosophy. Ended in 404 BCE

    The Peloponnesian war was a very important war in the history of Greece. During the war Sparta defeated Athens by locking them into there own city leading to there eventual surrender. This also lead to the fall of Greece. And Alexander the Greats Rule. Ended 404 BCE

    Alexander the Great Dies

    Alexander the Greats rule ended after he died of disease, with no direct heir his empire was split between 3 people eventually leading to his downfall. During his life time he created the largest empire of the time and was never defeated in battle.

    Punic Wars

    The Punic Wars were a series of battles between Rome and Carthage over control of the Mediterranean. the first time Carthage tried to sneak around the mountains, so Rome went over and took over there land. The second time Rome went and completely destroyed Carthage. Ended 149 BCE
  • First Triumvirate

    First Triumvirate

    The First Triumvirate consisted of three people, Julius Caesar, Pompous and Crasses. The eventual outcome is that they turned on each other one by one until Julius Caesar was the last man Standing, Leader of the Roman Empire. Ended in 44 BCE
  • Second Triumvirate

    Second Triumvirate

    The Second time the Romans tried the rule of 3... it failed as before. Just as before they turned on each other one by one until Octavian was the last man standing. Octavian then changed his name to Augustus or "The Exulted One" Ended 31 BCE
