End of French and Indian War
These diary entries are about Alfred Smith. A baker who is going to go to school to be a lawyer who belives in war and how its right to fight against Britain. Dear Diary,
I am so mad. We fought to have more land and we can't even move over there. We fought to move in the Ohio River Valley because it has really good soil. Since the war cost a lot of money that England paid for and now they are broke. They can't send any more soldiers to protect us. I am so sad.
  • Sugar Act

    Sugar Act
    Dear diary,
They are taxing the sugar, molasses and other things way too high. Since I am a baker this is not good for my income. This is so wrong. I am going to to write a letter complaining to the King, but i doubt that will help.
  • Stamp Act

    Stamp Act
    dear diary,
I want to go to school to be a laywer later in life so i need to go to shool but, all they want to do is fill their pockets with my money. I am a baker now but they keep taxing sugar and molasses that willbe gone too. I will have nothing in life.
  • Quartering Act

    Quartering Act
    Dear Diary,
I am trying to study but those stupid soldiers are in my home and I can't concintrate. Why did they have to pass that law. This is MY home not theirs. My wife Elizabeth cleans our house and do you know what she gets in return...nasty,dirty, and ignorant British soldiers!
  • Townshend Act

  • Tea Act

    Dear Diary,
I am dying inside. I really want some tea. When they passed the tea act I dont buy it because the price on it is way too high. I really wish they would bring the tax down and maybe then i would buy some...just maybe.
  • Boston Tea Party

    Boston Tea Party
    Dear Diary,
I was one of the 116 people to participate in the Boston Tea Party. It felt so good to rebel that much from England. The creates were so heavey. Sam Adams was yelling orders at us. Some orders were like "Don't break anything else all we want is the tea." We threw over 45 tons of tea over the side of the ship. Now they want money for the tea party not right My wife did not aprove of me doing that. I do not care. It doesnt matter what she thinks; its about my life and liberty.
  • Coercive/Intolerable Acts

    Dear Diary,
I cant beleive they closed the port of Boston until the tea is paid for. They also band to town meetings which I participated in. Now we cant make town decisions which is uproaring the entire town. If we get caught we have to be shipped to England. Those trials are not fair. It is thier favor that someone will be found gulity.
  • First Continental Congress

    Dear Diary,
Since I am a smart man I was able to go to the First Continental Congress. It is a great honor to sit in a room full of smart men like myself. Sam and John Adams, George Washington, and John Jay were there. They are smart men. We all decided what we should do for the colonies. We are demending repeal of the Intolerable and we are also demanding the right to tax oursleves boycotting goods from other places and lastly we are training militias!
  • Paul Revere's Ride

    Dear Diary,
Paul Revere woke me up! I heard the other men coming; Sam Prescot and Billy Dawes coming. I am going to get ready for war. We want independence, not to be controlled by the British! I am in Concord now and heading to Lexington to fight for what I believe in...WAR!
  • Lexington and Concord

    Dear Diary,
I can not belive that they tried to take our ammunition from us!I don't know how they figured it out but they know were our ammunition was hidden. They are moving to Concord. I must go and fight. If they think arresting Sam Adams and John Hancock will help them because they are two of our leaders...they are wrong. George Washington is going to lead us to battle! i must go now war is calling! Later that day Alfred Smith died that very day. He lost his life to defend America!
