The Treaty of Paris was signed today, which ended the French and Indian War. We have won, but the British economy has dropped severely due to the war. We are in so much debt! I pray that things get better soon.

Blast those rats! The Parliament has banned all the colonists from settling west of the Appalachians mountains! This is truly outrageous! We just fought for that land, and now they think they can take it away from us? What are they going to use it for other than for settling! It's getting rather cramped in these cities. A dear friend of mine and her husband have already headed out for the new land to start a new life. I truly think the colonists will ignore this act.

Ridiculous! They put a tax on sugar! Preposterous! How do they expect us to be alright with this unfair tax?! Blasted red coats..this is! We'll surely boycott this wretched tax..

British soldiers have invaded Boston..and my home! I am forced to care for them and meet their needs, and I cannot refuse..who knows what they'd do to me! I am fearful, and so fed up with these taxes. Our rights are being violated, as English citizens! The soldiers are rude and foul..if they weren't who they are, I'd slap them silly! I am going to bed. I hope I'll get some sleep.

Now they are taxing on imports like Lead, Tea, Glass.etc. We cant smuggle goods because now the red coats are searching our ships. that is invading our privacy!

The most preposterous thing has happened! There was a riot in town..the British soliders were there! They opened fire..on citizens! Outrageous! They have no right. Captain Preston ordered it too! What are we to do? Do take care.

I am so fed up about putting tax on the tea we drink everyday. Now we have to pay to drink? That is so not exceptable! we have to fight! Fight HARD, for our rights! The Brits dont control us, they think they do, but they dont!

today our people, the colonist dumped all the tea in the boston harbor. they dumped all the tea in the harbor because they did not like how they were putting tax on the tea we drink everyday! -

Today the British responded to the Boston Tea Party with the Intolerable Acts. The British closed the port of Boston until the tea is paid for. Ridiculous!!! All trials are moved to England, and town meetings are banned. They also strenghened the Quartering act. Blasted rats..

The First Continental Congress was held today. I wonder what they were discussing. Hopefully some way to get around this rotten mess..We're bound for war, sooner or later..Let's just hope we're ready for it. Cyrus is helping the militia with recruiting. Give me Liberty or give me death!

The war has begun..Cyrus has gone out with the militia. I pray the best for him! My heart aches with worry. I must sit here with the children and wait. I'm too shook up to finish my stitch work..Oh well. I will write when I can.
