    The French and Indian War, also known commonly as the Seven Years War, would prove to be significant towards the revolution of the United States as it will leave an economic burden to the British. This would impact by the British taxing the United States. This photo is of the French and Indian War. It is a strong representation of it and its large scale battles.

    French and Indian War concludes
    Also known as the Seven Years War, this led to a dominance of the Americas for the British. This, however came at a great economic burden that would be later carried out by what would become the United States. The British would do this believing that they had rights to do this. After all, they fought and protected the US at their own cost. The photo symbolizes the end of war.

    Here is a photo of Robespier. Robespier was known to have controled the Reign of Terror. He was in charge of foreign affairs and decided who France's enemies were. However, he would often execute people for petty and small reasons. Therefore, he started the Reign of Terror.

    There is a visual image of increase burden of taxes. This would be a modified version of the previous 1733 Sugar and Molasses Act which was about to expire. What this act does is that it makes it makes British import taxes cheaper than that of the French. This would be a new act the Americans would have been okay with if it stopped there...but it would not.

    This would be a significant act for it would require that many products would require the fee and a stamp on objects they buy in order to use it legally. The Americans would have to stamp newspaper, letters and other objects of daily life. This starts irritating the Americans. The photo is of what the stamps of the stamp act would have looked like.

    The Quartering Act ruled that the Americans would be obligated to house British soldiers during times of peace. Now, the Americans really hate all the new acts and taxes of the British. Constantly adding on new taxes, the British becomes a burden. Here is a representation of what it would have been like to have British soldiers march into one's house for the night.

    Here is a representation of the Boston Massacure as made by the American Revolutionaries. The Boston Massacure, occurring much later with many new acts being brought up and taken away, sets the stage for Revolution. Although killing very few, the words Massacure helps implace the idea of unfairness and inequality.

    Highly significant for Revolutions in the United States because this pushes the US towards major starts of revolts. This obviously leads to the Boston Tea Party. There is the photo of when the British imposed tea taxes.

    This is where Americans get on British boats and threw out around 350 chests of tea omtp tje Boston harbor. At this time, the British East India Company was on the edge of a financial collapse. Demanding money from the United States to pay for this, the US refused. Revolution began.This is what it would have looked like.
  • Louis XVI made King

    Louis XVI made King
    Here is a photo of Louis XVI. He was significant towards the French Revolution for two specific reasons. One, his family was composed of himself who was a weak leader with trouble with decision-making and his wife who was despised by the French due to her Australian heritage. Secondly, King Louis created a lot of debt helping in the American Revolution against French enemies. In 1786, the banks would start refusing to lend the king money igniting a spark of Revolution.

    Here is the creation of the Declaration of Independence.
    The congress of the US assembled together to bring about the Declaration of Independence. At this time, battles haven't actually begun but it brings the concept of reforms to the British. Now, the actually battles ensue.
  • Treaty of Paris is signed by US and British

    Treaty of Paris is signed by US and British
    The revolution ends in the British conceding to the US. This also inspires the idea of Revolutions in France.

  • Storming of the Bastille

    Storming of the Bastille
    The Bastille (the photo) is what is represented. Now, Louis XVI faced a new assembly and as usual, did not trust his own French soldiers. Therefore, he hired Swiss mercenaries to guard Paris. the citizens were scared of the Swiss soldiers and attacked the Bastille. This is significant because it was a political attack against the king and a symbolic piece of the French Revolution.
  • Declaration of the Rights of Man

    Declaration of the Rights of Man
    Completely named the Declaration of the Rights of Man and Citizen, it was passed by the National Assembly. Here, nobles made prononciation of the liberties, equality and fraternity of life and in doing so, gave up their previous special privleges. The Declaration of the French is highly significant because it gave the idea of the promise of protection of the rights that are naturally endowed. Here is the Declaration of the Rights of Man.
  • War with Austria

    War with Austria
    In April 1792 (not sure of the specific day), War with Austria began. This is due to the Austrian and Prussian authorities wanting King Louis XVI back on the throne. Previously taken off, they worried and fretted over the idea that this would spark revolts in their own countires as well. In their battles, it is quite distinct who exactly were the French and who were the Prussians and Austrians. The photo shows that the French were poorly fashioned while the others were conformed.

    This was would end with the French becoming outraged and capturing and imprizoning King Louis XVI. This following photo is a depiction of revoluting forces capturing King Louis XVI.
  • King Executed

    King Executed
    Here is a depiction of the beheading of Louis XVI. Mobs of the street (same as those who captured and imprisoned the king) now set about revenge for the war had with Austria. they assembled and called for the execution of the king. Finding him quilty of treason to the National Convention, he was executed with a guillotine. This is significant because it finally and pernamently removed the king and monarchy.

    Robespier Reign of Terror Ends
    the Execution of Robespier came about and finally brougt peace to Paris from his reign. Here is a representation fo when Robespier was beheaded. It must be noted how many different changes came about from the beheading of Louis XVI. For one, the monarchy fell apart whereas Robespier's behading created peace.

    Directory in Power
    After these events, there were five new rules called the directory that ruled together and shared power. This new form of government started the writing of a third constitution. they ruled well for around five years until Napoleon forced them out. By 1799, they lost the faith of the people. There was trouble finding all five, but three showed up instead.
  • Napoleon was Appointed first Consul

    Napoleon was Appointed first Consul
    Napoleon Bonaparte was a strong military leader defending the National Convention agaisnt roylists and led great, sucessful campaigns into Italy. When appointed First consul, he did a lot to create reforms in the French Government and stopped the Bloody revolution. Here is a photo/drawing of Napolean as a strong leader in war.
