    Mexican army took over the Alamo

    The Mexican army took over the Alamo, from the Texian militia, an abandoned Spanish mission in present-day San Antonio, where they defended themselves against the army’s siege.     After a long 13 days, the Mexican soldiers successfully defended the Alamo by killing all 189 Texans who attacked on the Alamo Mission near San Antonio. This tragedy lead many Texans and Americans to join the Texas army to fight Mexico.
