Battle of the Alamo

Took place in San Antonio de Bexar, many Texans were killed in the siege of the Alamo. One of the most famous battles in history. Lasted until March 6th, 1836.

First battle of the Goliad campaign.

Texas Declares Independence from Mexico

Battle of Refugio

Third battle of the Goliad campaign, many Texan casualties took place, and survivors were sent to Goliad.

Battle of Coleto

Last battle of the Goliad campaign. Many Texian soldiers were captured.

Goliad Massacre

Mar 27, 1836

All of the troops captured at Coleto were taken to Goliad and massacred on this date.

Battle of San Jacinto

Apr 21, 1836

An 18-Minute Battle that ended in Santa Anna being taken prisoner, also the last battle of the Texas Revolution.

The Treaty of Velasco

May 14, 1836

On this date the Treaty of Velasco is signed making Texas independent from Mexico. Signed in Fort Velasco by Santa Anna.

Sam Houston Named the President of the Republic of Texas
