Before this, Rae didn't have electricity or even indoor plumbing. Like everyone in that time, she had to use a kerosine lamp to see. In the 30s you would not find a light switch on the wall of any house.

Judy GarlandRae remembers going to see the firt ever technicolor movie The Wizard of Oz for the first time. When the movie first started she felt dissapointed to see that the movie was in black and white, but was astounded when Dorothy walked through her door into a world of onscreen color.

WWII How it began
World War II was a war foght by most of the worlds major countries. It was said to last from 1939 to 1945. There were said to be 50 to 85 million fatalities. -
Rae started highschool aroun the same time kids these days start middle school. In highschool she met her husband, Paul. She had a normal highschool life where she earned good grades and went to prom.

V-2 Rocket videoin 1944 over 3000 V-2s were launched by Germany at London and Antwerp.These rockets were developed during WWII.

in 1947 Rae met her future husband at a small party. they hit it off and were friends from the start. Onlya couple years later they were married.

After serving as an aircaft enginner in the war, Chuck Yeager became the first person ever to break the sound barrier. "Breaking the sound barrier" means moving faster than sound.

In 1950 Rae was married to Paul Puerner, a friend of three years. They would end up being married forthe rest of their lives. (the dress shown in the picture is similar to the one Rae wore.)
