Q7 EVALUATION - Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product

    Learning the basics of Premier pro, basic cuts and transitions. Combining this with after effects to create titles.

    The day we created our first genuine media product, still left with a lot to learn. There had been a lot of pre production work, we had started off making story boards of brief ideas on how we could reinvent the intro. We decided that our clothing would be much more urban like, unlike the original intro. We also decided it would be out in day time instead of inside this way we were able to get natural lighting. We took many close ups and tried to vary our shots as much as possible, 180degree.

    Learnt how to input ideas to produce a wonderful story board by putting everybodys ideas together to form one big one.

    Learnt how to collaborate as a team, everybody knew their roles and delievered almost a perfect pitch however there was some adjustments that needed to be made to the presentation.

    Photoshop skills had been developed. Such as merging layers and using magic wand

    A real sense of a hardworking team whereby everyone is taking responsibility for what they should be doing.

    Better setting, better use of natural light. Clothing is suitable for the product, also adapting to different equipment such as the microphone.

    New skills were learnt like how to overlay in after effects. We also learnt how to synchronize sound with the scenes!

    Compared to our prelim we have learnt many more techniques and were able to execute them very well. These were techniqes such as the rule of thirds, the 180 degree rule and many more.
  • Working independently

    I realised that I needed to start producing blogs independently thus the reason for me creating more logos for the group to choose from. This also helped me to develop my photoshop skills.
  • Summing up what i've learnt.

    I've learnt various different things in the process, ofcourse there was the technological side to this, whereby i extended my knowledge of usig after affects and photoshop etc. However I found it was the hidden skills I found most useful, such as team work and independent work.
