    STAGE 1 - Planning (Pre-Production)
    DAY 1
We first had to pick what type of scene we wanted to do and from what TV show. We decided on Hotel Babylon. As we had 4 members , we had to find a scene with 4 characters. We chose a scene that invovled a reptionist, 2 policeofficers and a clerk. We then had to reconstruct the scene with the options we had in college.
  • STAGE 2- Planning 2 (Pre-Production)

    DAY 2
To know what we had to do, we first watched a the scene over and over to establish; mise-en-scene, camera angles and what the characters are saying. This allowed to create a stroyboard which made our filming easier. Clearly our props did not represent the actual scene as we had to base our filming in college. However, we tried our best to recontruct the scene by using a table as the receptionist desk.
  • STAGE 3- Filiming (Production)

    DAY 3
Once we had our storyboard ready, we were ready to film. As it was a short scene, we had limited time to film (3 hours) and we only used 1 location. We used our double period to film the different camera angles. As this was our first time using a professional camera, it was a bit challenging at first. However, once we got the hang of it we managed to get the angles we needed for the scene. We used a range of camera angles to capture each of the different characters.
  • STAGE 4- Editing (Post-Production)

    DAY 4
After we finished filming, we put our shots together to create the scene. We used final cut pro to edit. We tried to add in some match cuts (for example- one character opening the door, while the other is speaking), While filming, we tried to get some over the soulder shots in. While editing, we tried our best to make them seem seamless. As there was dialogue, we had no need to add in sound.
