Roberto Clemente leads the Pirates to another World Series win

This came after a successful campaign, funded by local investors such as Heinz and Art Rooney, to bring a team back to Pittsburgh. -

After 20 losing seasons, the Pirates defeated the Milwaukee Brewers to secure their 81st win. They made it as far the National League Division Series, where they were defeated by the St. Louis Cardinals in 5 games.
