A mysterious convict
Pip meets a myserious convict in the marshes. The convict orders Pip to get him food and a file, and Pip obeys. This would be Pip's first encounter with his secret benefactor. -
Satis House
Pip visits Miss Havisham for the first time. At the Satis House, he encounters Estella. Hurt by the crude way Estella treats him, Pip starts to open his mind to the society. Pip starts to change is outlook on social class. He also starts his relationshiop with Miss Havisham from this point on. -
A new life in London
Pip leaves his old life behind and moves to London to pursue his great expectations. Pip is put under the care of Mr. Jaggers, and his new home brings him the most unexpected events. Leaving his family, Pip starts to become indpependent, and his relationship with them will begin to alter. -
The pale young gentleman
At his new home in London, Pip meets the pale young gentleman of his past, Herbert, and they get along very well. Pip likes Herbert's personality, and they seem to share similar goals. Herbert will eventually serve as a guidance to Pip, informing him of important facts and helping him along with his journey. -
The return of the convict
On a stormy night, Pip's convict finds Pip in London. Pip is fearful of this man, not knowing what his true intentions are. He finds that his name is Magwitch and is in hiding. This would be the start of a new relationship between them, the "responsiblity" shifting from one to the other. Magwitch's presence tests Pip's morals. -
Savior
During his visit back to the Satis House, Pip saves Miss Havisham from a fire. Pip's deed rescues Miss Havisham from perishing. Given this situation, Pip's bravery and sacrifice shines through, and his character is developed to show he is far from conceited. -
Final Promises
Despite Pip's attempt to save Magwitch, he gets captured. Pip sits by Magwtich and swears loyalty to him. Pip mentions Estella right before Magwich dies. Pip's compassion for Magwitch and his good nature is proven. His death leads Pip to go back to his old home and visit Joe and Biddy. -

First time camping
I went camping with my family for the first time. We rented a log house in the mountains and cooked food and hiked. I remember hiking with my dad and breathing in the fresh air and seeing green all around. -
Moving to U.S.
My mom, my sister, and I immigrate to the U.S. It was a very rainy day, and I remember trying to read the store signs as I looked out the car window. -
Trick-or-Treating
I went trick-or-treating for the first time in my life with my best friend Kaitlyn. I remeber I was a witch, and she was Wednesday Addams. It was a fun experience learning about American culture and eating all the candy. -
Accepted to OA
I recieved the acceptance letter from Oxford Academy. I hesitated to open it and peeked inside to see "Congratulations". We celebrated by eating out. I was proud of myself, and I was also happy I did something that made my mom happy as well. -
Playing in an orchestra
I performed in front of an audience for the first time. It was also my first playing the violin as a part of an orchestra. I was very nervous and messed up quite a lot, but it was fun playing with my peers. From this experience, I learned the value of practice and group work. -
Video Project
My friends and I filmed a video for Spanish. It was describing a typical day for the "impopular celebrities". It took a whole day to film, but even when we felt tired we would laugh it off. This project was valuable for me in my interest in movies. -
Visiting Korea
My family and I went back to visit Korea in 7 years. I remember seeing my grandmother and my dad at the airport. Throughout the three weeks I spent there, I was the happiest I have ever been in a long time. It was like filling in a missing puzzle piece. I hope to visit again soon for my family and food! -
New York
As a school field trip, the band and orchestra students got a chance to play at Carnegie Hall in New York during the week we spent there. I made lots of valuable memories including seeing a Broadway show and seeing the Statue of Liberty. I still feel the lively atmosphere of New York at night.
