  • Pip Meets Magwitch

    Magwitch, (back then only known as the convict) threatens Pip to give him food and a file, leaving the six-year-old boy emotionally scarred. Their meeting of fate creates an eventual series of events that intertwine with the different characters and plot of the story.
  • Pip Meets Estella

    Pip goes to Satis House for the first time and meets Miss Havisham and Estella. Miss Havisham makes them play cards, and Estella shows no interest in Pip. Pip fawns over her, stunned by her beautfy. He feels ashamed of his upbringing by her few insults on his coarse hands and boots, and teasing attitudes.
  • Pip Meets Herbert--Again

    In the second time Pip sees Herbert Pocket, they both become quick friends. They realize they fought each other at Satis House before, and this shows the fate they have with each other. Their constantly growing friendship lead to being there for each other and they can always trusting one another to make things feel better. They encounter their own hardships of growing up and becoming gentlemen. being either in debt, or just being in love.
  • Mrs. Joe Passes Away

    Upon receiving the news of Mrs. Joe's death, Pip goes as soon as possible to attend Mrs. Joe's funeral. He then realizes, and is surprsied, at how much he loved her. It makes him feel more conscious of his previous treatments with Biddy and Joe and want to try to mend those broken relationships.
  • Pip Finally Meets his Benefactor

    His benefactor turns out to be Magwitch, the convict he met during his childhood. At first, Pip refuses to believe and is in shock that Magwitch would be his benefactor all along, and not Miss Havisham. He meets a "mid-life crisis" as he does not think he will be with Estella in the future. Then, Pip listens to Magwitch's story and gets to know him better, which reveals more hints at his relations with other characters in the novel.
  • Magwitch Passes Away

    In the final hours of Magwitch's death, Pip stays by his side. Pip displays maturation and loyalty as he has bonded with Magwitch and accepted him as a second father. A few moments before Magwitch dies, Pip decides to tell him that he met his daughter and she has grown to be a beautiful lady. This leads to the peacful departure of Magwitch.
  • Pip Works for Herbert

    At the end of the story, Pip learns to stop having expectations, and just enjoy the relationships and life he has. His friendship with Herbert remains strong and he still stays in contact with Joe and Biddy. He is able to let go of his attraction/love towards Estella, and forgives Miss Havisham. Pip just lives his life to its fullest, and learns to "go with the flow."
