Peer Mentoring Timeline

  • Contact Initiated with mentee

    Initiated oontact with Darren, my former student teacher. He has agreed to be my mentee for this assignment
  • Subject area of lesson decided

    Darren and I will have decided upon the right subject area in which to perform the technology incorporation
  • Select 3 potential lesson plans

    Darren and I will select 3 potential lessons that we feel are in need of updating. We will begin the process of brainstorming ways to incorporate technology into them
  • Present technology

    Both me and Darren will present our ideas for what technology we think is best suited for updating the lessons in question. We will come up with our final idea for each of the three selected lessons.
  • Test Technology Incorporations

    Darren and I will go through a test run of how the technology will be implented into his first lesson. We will walkthrough the materials needed, student reactions, and expected final product at this time
  • First Lesson Evaluation

    By this time, Darren will have presented the lesson sometime during the week and we will evaluate how we thought the lesson went. We will also evaluate if the technology was useful in the lesson and what changes could have been made to make the lesson better.
  • 2nd Lesson Evaluation (Optional)

    If there is time, the second incorporated lesson will be presented to the students and subsequently evaluated like the first lesson
  • Third Lesson Evaluation (optional)

    Time permitting, we will peform another presentation/evaluation of the thrid lesson that has incorporated technology. It will perform the same as the first two evaluations, with suggestions for improvment and what went well being discussed
  • Final Evaluation

    Darren and I will meet one last time and discuss a final evaluation of how we think the incorporation went as a whole. We will discuss what went well, what he intends to use in the future, and how we could improve upon our incorporations in the future.
