    Dear Journal,

  • Windlass Hill

    Dear Journal,
Mile 500. Today was a hard day for the train. We had to get down Windlass Hill. We used chains to get down. We made it and so did the other wagons in our train. We made it down without anything falling out but, the other wagons had a little bit of stuff come out. See we used a chain and tied it around a tree and we slowly walked down the hill. It was a fun day well have to get ready for tomorrow.
  • Court House Rock

    Dear Journal,
Mile 561. Today we arrived at two very pretty rocks. While we were there we didn't have any trees or firewood. So we decided to take some matches out of our supplies and lit them up then we put them on top of a big bush so that it could burn. We used that to cook our food for dinner. We were also found out that buffalo chips were important to find along the way because they help get the fire started.

    Scotts Bluff
    Dear Journal,
Mile 596. Tonight was really fun!!!!!! Tonight a person in our wagon train told a really scary story. • Horse Creek Crossing

    Dear Journal,
Mile 615. Today we ran into more Indians then we have ever ran into on this entire trip. We decided to trade with them. If we would have decided to fight then many lives would be lost. Dear Journal,
Mile 777. Today we were at a terrible poisons spring. We decided we would tie up our animals and have a guard stay and watch them. Sadly, our animals got out and our guard fell asleep on the job.
