    Pennies

Pennies were that change everyone had and really never used. Pennies were worth 1 cent which is tiny compared to today. Pennies stopped coming out back 2013 but had a long life. If you still have a lot of pennies keep them because there value is still raising and now you could get 3 dollars and 72 cents with only 2 pennies

    Phone books

Phone books have been replaced by with mobile phones being able to store contact information. People today, don't need phone books because they have all the contact information they need and don't need to find a person's number through a book. Also if they don't have the a certain company's number like a pizza place you could search on the internet.

    Public Payphones

Payphones have been one way to call people along time ago. You would go to these machines and pay to call someone. You can see why these have been going obsolete because alot of people have cell phones.

    VCR

The VCR was brought to North America on June 4th, 1977 but was created in the 1950's and it had 50+ years lifespan surviving until 2008. The VCR was "replaced" by CD's because they had more storage space, were smaller then the VCR tapes and cheaper to produce. Companies just kept producing VCR tapes but, not many until 2016 because everyone was or had been replacing their VCR with CD players

    Arcades

Arcades back in the 1970's to the 90's was the only way to play video games at the time. Arcades were building that had a bunch of different video games which you had to pay to start playing the game. They got replaced by home video games consoles. This would be the place where many kids would bring bags full of quarters and play games for hours. Now you don't even have to leave your own home to play video games.

    Floppy Disks

Floppy Disks were the only way to save your data on the computer back in 1980's. Floppy Disks were created back in 1981 and survived until 2009. Floppy disks got replaced by the USB stick in 1996. So the floppy disk had a pretty good life span.

    CD Binders

CD binders were the way to organize your music collection with out have CD cases all over the place. People would keep these in there car, so when on the road they can find a certain album of an artist and just listen to it. Now, people don't need CD binders because most people have bought there music online and don't buy the physical disc so, they wouldn't need them.

    Movie Rental Stores

Movie rental stores have been going out of business these past few years. Movie rental stores have been replaced by steaming services like Netflix and YouTube. If you wanted a movie before Netflix you had to go to the store, find the movie you wanted and then pay to rent the movie but now all you have to do is pay about 8 dollars a month to watch any movie you wanted.

    Hard Drives

Hard Drives were the the replacement for the floppy disks. Like the floppy disk it is in the process of getting replaced by cloud saves. Less and less people are getting hard drives to save there data when they could just upload a picture to the cloud or wait about 2 minutes for it to be on the hard drive. Now a days people like waiting less and less for something to be done, so I can see why they are getting replaced.
