    When Pharaoh Ramesses the 11th passed away, that is when The Third Intermediate Period happened. The new kingdom ended, and Egypt started to separate. This was important in history because the separation eventually formed into two different kingdoms.

    Kush was developed by the Nile River Valley. This kingdom controlled a huge amount of land (Sudan). The land was given the name "Nubia" which means gold. It was named after gold because the supplies that kush provided were very helpful and needed.

    Kashta's leader Piye started the 25th Dynasty of Egypt. When lower Egypt was lost is when this dynasty began. This was not the best, but it soon ended.

    Cleopatra became queen of Egypt. She was the oldest queen and everyone described her as a queen who had no mercy. She had goals, rules, determination, and was great for Egypt. She was also the last true pharaoh. She later ended her life for an unknown reason.

    This year, The Rosetta Stone was found! It is a very big stone with Egyptian and Greek writing. It has positive accomplishments and honors the people. This stone was very important to many. French soldiers found it while building a fort in Egypt.

    British colonial forces took over Sudan this year... Britain became the government over Sudan when segregation started. The whites were in control and separated the blacks and whites.
