Get to Florida
Because of the weather, we couldn't fly out of Fargo, so after a short practice we decided to drive to Minneapolis! We left around 4 and arrived at about 8:30. The next morning we had to leave the hotel by 4:15 to get to the airport. -
Practice
When we got to Florida we settled in our hotels and headed out to practice. We had a guy named Nick who lives in Florida come help with our kick routine. He cleaned up our routine and gave us some tips to perform even better. -
Airport
We all finally met up at our gate in the Minneapolis airport at about 6:30 a.m. We had a straight shot flight to Florida and we were all very anxious to be in the warm weather. -
Day 1
We performed kick and hip-hop on the first day. We made kick finals and hip hop semifinals. We performed in semis for hip-hop but didn't make it to finals. That night we went to Planet Hollywood for a team supper! -
Kick Finals
We performed out kick routine in finals and performed better than we ever have! We placed 7th in the nation and it was only our 3rd year doing kick, second-year bringing it to nationals. Last year we didn't even make finals so to be in the top 10 was an amazing accomplishment! -
Grandmas buddy
My grandma brought her friend with to nationals who lives in Minnesota. She kept her under control. Kathy is very short. And we’re all matching and it’s great. -
Fun Day!
Since we didn't make Hip-hop finals we didn't have to dance at all this day! And I don't know if many of us were to upset about that. This day we went to Animal Kingdom and that night we went to Magic Kingdom for the firework show! -
Magic Kingdom With My Best Friend
The whole team went to magic kingdom and Maddy and I watched the firework show that they do every night which is crazy! It was amazing!!! -
Epcot
We spent a whole day at Epcot. We ate in Italy and had some bomb pizza. We got some Japanese candy and pastries from Norway. We went on this ride where you make a car and race it and it was super fun. -
Jeff’s ride
Jeff insisted on riding this ride in EPCOT and told us it would be worth it. We waited 2 hours to make a car and compete against each other. My team lost, but it was so worth the wait. -
Back Home
On the way home I got morning/car sick. We left the resort at 3:30 a.m. and drove about 45 minutes to the airport. Then three other girls got sick on the plane, it was great. On the drive home, we had really bad weather with snow and fog and traffic. Minneapolis had a wicked storm when we were gone and the snow was packed.
