    The special curcumstance.

My first days into the world where dark, rainy, stormy, and flooding. It just so happens that when I was born there was a great flood, they called it the 100 year flood.
  • My first day!

On October 15, 1998 I was born. Normaly we could've gone home that day but under special circumstances we coudn't.
  • The flood

    The flood
There was a big flood, about 11 inches of rain, it was crazy.
  • First day of school.

    First day of school.
My first day of Pre-K at East Terrell Hills elementary.
  • Lubbock, Texas

    Lubbock, Texas
Our first stop on our long road trip was Lubbock. There was alot of dirt and we were caught in a little dust storm, that hurt.
  • The big texan

After a long day of driving we stopped off to eat at The Big Texan in Amirillo Texas. My family and I had the oppritunity to watch someone attempt to eat the 72 ounce steak.! They also had a huge rocking chair and a bunch of fudge!

    Best summer ever!

The summer of 5th grade me, my family (including my grandma) took our cross country trip. It was more, Texas to the border of Canada! and all the states and national parks, including Pikes peak and cave of the winds Colorado. At every state line we took a picture next to the sign and at every stop we got a pound of fudge to add to our junk food drawer.
  • Pikes peak Colorado

After driving through New Mexico, we ended up in Colorado Springs in a hotel where we had a visual of Pikes Peak. Colorado people don't really like Texans. We took a little Cog train up to the peak and on the way they told us the story about a texas couple who died while hiking up Pikes Peak. This is one of the last cog trains in use in the United States.
  • Mount Rushmore South Dokota

    Mount Rushmore South Dokota
We see all these people stopping and taking pictures of a big granite thing. We stopped, got the camera, and looked, we were looking to close to see that it was the side of Washington's head carved on the Granite. Mount Rushmore was amazing we took a tour around it, learned the history about it and took pictures. The man who carved stone mountain, Gutzon Borglum, also did Mount Rushmore but past away before he could finish it. Then we drove on needles highway. Crazy!
  • Yellowstone National Park

    Yellowstone National Park
It, smelt disgusting, like sulfur, but the gysers and hot springs were beustiful. (They all looked the same, you saw one you sawl them all.) There was a bunch of buffolo and waterfalls and that is where I learned what a cascade was. It was beautiful, we even saw some mose or caribu. It was so beautiful I can't explain, all of the colors, there was not one ugly spot in the park, well maybe, there were mud pots that smelt gross but were fasinating.
  • Glacier National Park

Well, the week before we got to Glacier there was a bad snow storm causing an avalanche to close off the only road leading to the big glaciers so we went to Mini glaciers instead. It was still so beuatiful, just like Yellowstone I have never seen anything so amazing! It was cold but not as cold as Yellowstone. At our cabin we could see the mountains with sonow on top and it seemed to never get dark. One day we wnet for a 4 mile hike and saw the avalanche lake. We also saw a baby black bear.
  • Back home through Colorado Springs

We decided to hit all the places we missed the first time. We went to some place and rode a ski lift to the top and then a louge to the bottom. It was my first time so I took it real slow, so slow my Grandma almost crashed into me and bumpdrafted me to the bottom. It was so much fun! Then we went to Cave of the Winds which freaked me out because once again they didn't like Texans, so I denied being a Texan. When they took us to the Texas pit I thought they knew I lied. I thought I was going in.
