On the way to America Rebecca get extremely sea sick and comes down with an extremely high temperature. and we are worried about getting deported again. -

The doctors on Ellis island see Rebecca has a temperature from when we were on the boat and thinking that I also had whatever she had they detained the both of us for four days. -

I had a job sa a washwomen and my sister’s job together were not paying enough money to sustain our living condition, all the floor boards were cracked and splintered, the paint was pealing off the walls and, the men in our area harassed us when we came back after our work hours. -

The homestead act was where the government has given immigrants the choice to claim land in the West. -

We were denied the right to move West because the government thought that two eighteen year old girls will be able to care for the land. -
Meeting on the Last City Before the Oregon Trail
I meet a French farmer buy the name of Ryan, and we meet on the way to the store and we begin to talk and, I fall madly in love with him. So we decide to get a plot of land together, and get married. -
Getting Married
I get married to Ryan so we can live together once we get our land and so me and Rebecca are able to have more opportunities. -
Racing for Land, Getting Land
Me, Rebecca, and Ryan use our horses to race for our plot of land on our horses and successfully collect a nice plot thant has grass allaround and a section of earth perfect for growing crops.
