Montezuma ll, was born in 1466. He was born within the modern, Mexico City. Montezuma II was the ninth Aztec Emperor of Mexico.

In 1502, Montezuma II became the Aztec Emperor of Mexico. He leads Mexico after his uncle. As the new emperor he helped gain, and weaken many things.

On February 1st, 1503 the “Reign of Terror” began. The reign of terror was when Montezuma conquered nearby tribes, like the Zapotec and the Yopi. He later widened the gap between the commoners and the elite.

In 1507, the throne of Montezuma’s was made. His throne is also known as, the monument of “Sacred War”. This throne was very special to Montezuma II, and the people that he was ruling at the time.

In 1507, the New Fire Ceremony is celebrated by the Aztecs. This ceremony was celebrated every 52 years. This ceremony celebrated a full cycle of the Aztec calendar.

In November 1519, Hernando Cortés, comes to the Aztec capital. There, Montezuma II finds Cortés. And they make some wages.

In 1519, Montezuma II had an image of his face put on a memorable place. A hillside. He had this put on a hillside to be remembered by his people.

After the Spanish came over to new mexico city, Montezuma II treated them like the children of the gods. They later betrayed him. Then imprisoned him because the Spanish and Montezuma II's people thought he was too weak. -
June 30th, 1520 Montezuma II died. He died because the spanish betrayed him. Then they killed Montezuma II, because they thought that he was too weak.

August 13th, 1521
After the Spanish betrayed and killed Montezuma, they took over the Aztec capital. They were lead by Cortes. And they took over Tenochtitlan.
