    The Tennis Court Oath was a pledge taken by the third estate when they were locked out of a meeting of the Estates-General. They decided to do this in a tennis court giving it its name.

    It was the first step in writing a constitution for France. They were trying to move forward with their people. They were pleasing the people of France and giving them what they wanted.

    Napoleon declared himself the leader of France. He was recognised for his military achievements. He became dictator by force and made all the decisions himself for the entire time he was in power.

    It was a military conflict involving the French against Spain, United Kingdom, and portugal. They wanted control of the Iberian Peninsula. France and Spain occupied portugal but France crossed them resulting in an all out war.

    It was a conference of all the ambassadors of the European states. Held in Vienna they made peace and suggested resolutions for their issues.

    A war broke out when China decided to try to stop England from smuggling opium into the country. This resulted in England attacking China and forcing them to do what they wanted.

    This was the treaty marking the end of the first opium war. China was defeated and had to sign the treaty letting european countries trade with them as they please.
