    Time period when power-driven machinery was developed and human and animal power was given up.

    Berlin Conference.
    The meeting where Europeans met up to divide Africa.
  • Enlightment

    Enlightment
    This was a are were there was a movement of culture, education, and religon. This lasted from the 17th-18th century and had many people involved. For example, peoploe like Mary Wollstonecraft, Tomas Hobbes, Jean Jacques Rousseau. It occured in many countries and expaned over time. People thought it was time for a cultural change and it finally got accomplished.

    This occured when the medical drug opium was smuggled into Europe for non medical uses and people had fought over it.

    The oath to draft a constitution for France.
  • Formation of the National Assembly.

    Formation of the National Assembly.
    The assembly was made by the kind calling a meeting of the Estates General for the first time in 175 years. When the Third Estate wasn't given rights they wanted, they form the Nation Assembly to get back the king.
  • Creation of the Declaration of the Rights of Man and the Citizen Drafted.

    Creation of the Declaration of the Rights of Man and the Citizen Drafted.
    Written by the National Assembly, who were made up of the Third Estate, was about the basic principles of the Revolution. It declared that all men were equal, along with the freedom of speech and freedom of religion.

    The French revoultion is a time where war had broken out because of mant different causes like economy and and un equal rights in society. Marie Antoinette and Louis XVI had caused many problems in econmy which was one of the mani reasons for the French Revolution.

    The Mountain, which was one of the three of the political groups in the new National Convention, accuse, try, and execute anyone who opposed them.

    Rise of Napoleon.
    Napoleon was a ambitious military leader who became the emperor of France. As a young man, he achieved several military victories. He was soon give a promotion and protected France's interior and led the invasion of Italy, letting the world begin to know who he is.

    This was a fight for the right to control Haiti. Louvatour was mostly one to control this fight.
  • Congress of Vienna.

    Congress of Vienna.
    700 diplomats had met at the Congress of Vienna to create a plan to restore order to Europe. They decided there, to change boundaries across Europe to strengthen the nations surrounding France.
  • Meiji Era.

    Meiji Era.
    The Emperor Meiji came into power and made reforms to strengthen Japan, including mandatory education for all children. He also modernized the military and a rapid increase of industrialization.
  • Sepoy Mutiny.

    Sepoy Mutiny.
    Rebellion by Indian soldiers who fought in the British army against their officers, set off by the introduction of a new type of a British rifle.
  • Boxer Rebellion.

    Boxer Rebellion.
    The rebellion where hatred for foreigners exploded and communties of foreigners were attacked all across China.
