  • Pip meets convict

Pip meeting his convict, Magwitch, in the marshes was what set off his story, so obviously, this is an important event. It was there that Magwitch saw the kindness and innocence in Pip to inspire him to build a fortune for Pip. Without this ever happening, Pip probably would have just stayed as a common labourer.
  • Pip goes to Satis House for the first time

Going to the Satis house gave Pip a lifelong love interest and a new perspective on social class. There he found Estella to be a cold hearted girl who he'd be going after for much of his life. He also saw how she insulted him for his common and uneducated ways.
  • Pip is informed of his great expectations

When Mr. Jaggers told Pip at the Three Jolly Bargemen that he had great expectations, Pip was on the verge of being moved on to the next stage in his life, his adulthood. This money coming out of nowhere gave Pip the chance to become a gentleman but little did he know this money was coming from Magwitch. He'd thought that Miss Havisham was his benefactor and that he was destined to marry Estella.
  • Pip confesses his love for Estella to Herbert

Pip tells Herbert that he is in love with Estella, and Herbert replies that he, too, is in love with someone. By this time, Pip had already been under Estella's spell for a long time. He openly admits it but their relationship had not gotten much better since his visits to the Satis house. Estella still didn't treat Pip well but he continues to care about her.
  • Pip finds out his benefactor is Magwitch

After many years of believing that his generous benefactor was Miss Havisham, Pip is informed by Magwitch himself that he was Pip's benefactor. Pip was very scared and stunned to figure out the reality. He also appreciated the fact that Magwitch had sacrificed a lot to make the money for Pip and then risking his life to come visit him, so he let Magwitch stay in Herbert's room.
  • Pip apologizes to Joe for his self-centered behavior

Ever since Pip's first visit to the Satis house, he had looked down on Joe for being so common and unrefined. However, he had realized his wrong doing in part two so he formally apologizes to Joe in part three. His apology to Joe frees him from his last cause of unhappiness.
  • Pip encounters Estella

In the end of the novel, Pip finally meets Estella again after more than a decade in Cairo. He finds her to be a sadder and different person from who he had known her to be before. Pip, still considering Estella as a love interest, and Estella both agree that they're still friends. It is hinted that they fall in love and stay that way until their deathes.

  • My sister was born.

My sister's arrival into the world marked my new place in the family, as a brother. I now carried the responsibility of setting an outstanding example for my sister and taking care of her. Expectations for me were highered since my sister was expected to learn from me.
  • I began taking piano and violin lessons

Beginning to play musical instruments in the third grade changed the course of my life significantly. I was immediately interested in learning more about music and how to use the instruments correctly. Much of my free time out of school revolved around listening to music, making music, or reading about music.
  • I volunteer at a Kids Club center

I volunteered to work at a Kids Club place for a month during the summer of 2009. After a couple of weeks there, I became more open to community service work and such. I felt that I boosted my self esteem if I helped others out through volunteer work. This experience influenced me to join Key Club in 2011 to do more community service.
  • I go to Oxford

Going to Oxford Academy is probably one of the most important decisions in my life. I had to leave my friends behind and start all over again at Oxford. It was all worth it because I made new friends, kept in touch with old ones, and gained some positive experience from this school that I might not have gotten from any another public school.
  • Talking to Stacy

In the seventh grade, I had met Stacy and joked around with her a little about how we might be long lost siblings. We lost contact all through eigth grade but surprisingly, in the summer, we began talking after commenting on a silly Facebook post. We became really close friends who trust each other like real siblings might. Stacy really became the nice sister I wish I had because she cheers me up when I'm down.
  • Sister goes to Oxford

When my sister began to go to the same Highschool I did, my school life took a change for the worse. My sister had followed me around the first week and bugged me for no good reason. I always had to watch out for my sister since she could always go home and tell my parents about what I've been doing. She has made my once carefree highschool days into days of constant vigilance.
  • I join the orchestra and jazz band

My freshman year was a huge advancement for me musically. I was now playing the bass for the intermediate orchestra and the high level jazz band. My skills had dramatically improved since my earlier years in the music field and I am now striving to improve them even more. I now spend a large majority of whatever freetime I have making music.
