the clergy, nobility and commoners were involved. Louis XVI summon the Estates General because france was in a financial crises. They did not know if they should vote by head or by estate. in which case the two privileged orders of the realm might outvote the third. The result was the Estates General renamed itself the National Assembly and France ending the privileges of the clergy and the nobility.

The National assembly was a revolutionary assembly of the Kingdom of France formed by the representatives of the Third Estate of the Estates-General and eventually joined by some members of the First and third estates. King Louis XVI, was aware of the injustices of the French tax policy, so he tried to reform the tax code to make it more fair. but it was repeatedly turned down by the overrepresented nobles and clergy. This angered the Third Estate, and formed the National Assembly.

representatives of the non privileged classes of the french nation(third estate). they made a court oath to make certain rights for men and they were not gonna leave till they had signed the oath. 576 people outta 577 members from the third estate took the oath. the French King Louis XVI ordered the clergy and the nobility and the third estates to join the newly declared National Assembly on june 27.
