    Marie was born as Maria Antonia Josepha Joanna in Austria, she had 14 brothers and sisters. She was the 15th child that her mother had concived.
  • Childhood & Education

    Maria Antonia lives a great early childhood, and receives a normal education: one that focuses more on religion and moral principles than on the academic subjects.
  • Death of Marie's Father

    Maries Father, the Holy Roman Emperor Francis I, died and left the entire family devistated. Though Marie loved her father, she was not dramatically effected by this event.
  • King Louis

    Marie's mother sends 14-year-old Maria Antonia to France to marry and then make a family with Louis-Auguste, who would then become king.
  • Leaves Austria

    Maria Antonia leaves behind her Austrian family and crosses the Rhine river border, she was then welcomed by French court messengers and other important people from the Monarchy
  • The Wedding

    Marie Antoinette and Louis-Auguste are married at Versailles in front of the Monarchy. The wedding was elegant and graceful. The people we happy to have a new King and Queen
  • Rumors

    Rumor-mongers blame Marie Antoinette for the couple’s childlessness. Some suggest having the marriage annulled and shipping the Queen back to Austria.
  • Death of King Louis XV

    King Louis XV dies of smallpox, which means Marie and Louis would then gain the thrown and all of the power of a queen and king
  • Crowning of Louis

    Crowning of Louis
    20-year old Louis-Auguste (Husband of Marie) is crowned King Louis XVI at the cathedral in Rheims.
  • Child Birth

    Marie Antoinette and Louis give birth to their first child, Marie Thérèse Charlotte. The Monarchy is there to witness and society is finally pleased.
  • Death of Marie's Mother

    Death of Marie's Mother
    Marie's dear mother dies, This event plays more of a tragic role on Marie. She was close to her mother and wrote her all of the time.
  • Marie's Spending

    The public became outraged that Maire was gambling away their money. The country hated Marie, though Marie was un-aware that she even had a money spending problem
  • Poor Harvest

    July through September: A poor harvest results in high grain prices, rumors of hoarding, and unrest in the cities. There were many people growning to hate the monarchy.
  • Son Dies

    Marie Antoinette’s son, the Dauphin Louis Joseph, dies of tuberculosis which causes more rumors of the royal family and the public started an out-cry
  • Monarchy Falls

    Monarchy Falls
    Fall of the Monarchy. Sans-culotte militants invade and pillage Tuileries, forcing the Legislative Assembly to suspend royal power and place the Royal Family under the "protection" of the National Assembly
  • Marie's Death

    Marie's Death
    Marie was taken, After Louis to the Guillotine where she died with pride in front of the community. There were many people that yelled and cheered as the blade fell.
