    In 1616, Hebert heard that his long time friend, Champlain, was in Paris. They got together and Champlain told Hebert about a new colony in Quebec, which sparked Hebert's attention. Champlain needed the suppport for his new colony, so he promised Hebert a large amount of land and money and a contract saying that Hebert was officialy Acadia's apothecary.

    In 1617, with his wife, Marie Rollet, and their three children, Guillaume (3 years old), Guillaumette (9 years old), and Anne (14 years old), Louis Hebert left Paris for ever to live in Quebec City.     In 1620, Champlain returned from France to be greatly suprised at the progress the Hebert had made. Champlain appointed Hebert as the King's Attorney.

    The End
    On this date, Louis Hebert took a terrible fall on a patch of ice and hit his head. Unfortunatly, this aciddent took his life. In summery, Hebert became Canada's first apothecary, became the first canadian to farm and became the King's attorney. This picture is of Louis Hebert's grave.
