    In the beginning of the chapter, Ralph, and Piggy find themselves on what they think is an island. On the island it seems to be that there is a dense jungle full of “creepers,” and fruit knowing that from Piggy looking around and about.     As all the boys regroup that evening, they decide to make a fire atop the highest mountain Ralph, Simon, and Jack climbed that afternoon. All the older boys decide to get the thicker heavier wood which is hard to find because of the density and humidity of the jungle which makes all of the dead branches rott.     Jack was deep in the undergrowth of the creepers while looking for a pig to kill in which he heard the pattering of the hooves on the hard soil and the warm dropppings that allowed him to find the pigs

    Jack and Ralph went back down towards the beach and looked out towards the horizon thinking how far they can see. Ralph, who was looking for a ship; Jack was thinking the exact opposite about where pigs hide so he can get food.

    Simon goes off on his own looking for the most simple kinds of foods such as fruit and gave them to the young ones while walking through almost like some kind of trail where he sees fruit, butterflies, and bees.

    Ralph looks out into the horizon while laying on the floor and sees a litttle bit of smoke coming from a little dot. He knows that it is a ship and starts to run because that ship is not coming so he goes to see if the fire is going on still.

    Dense in the forest area; with a rock seperating Piggy from Jack because Jack had punched Piggy in the stomach and smacked him in the face breaking his spectacles for overreacting that he did not keep the fire going in which he caught a pig.

    As the boys talk, Piggy has a dream were one of the boys are in it and that there is a beast. All the boys get scared because the Percival says that theres a beast that comes out of the water making everyone in distress.

    The boys were waiting down at the beach for Ralph because they had an assembly into which they talked about how things need to be set straight within the group.

    As the twins were replenishing the fire, they see the beast and immediately freak out without screaming and run to Ralph telling him that they had saw it.

    The boys go out to go to kill the beast in the middle of an open area and Ralph risks himself to go and see if the beast will come after him. But as he is out there he soon finds out the fire on the mountain is out and that they have to go and re light it because a ship might save them.

    Ralph contemplates about his childhood life and the way things were before he joins jack and the hunters to go kill a pig

    When Ralph takes part in the killing/ hunting of a pig he feels excitement when he actaully kills it but ends up feeling almost sort of bad and thinks whether he should be a part of it.

    As Jack and Ralph argue where they should go next they notice a grey figure that looks like a rock in the distance which both knew it was not there at first. When the two step clother though, they realized it was some sort of ape like thing that ends up runnning for them.

    As the boys are on the beach, there is a commotion whether or not the others such as ralph and jack saw the beast. Taking the conch, Jack blames Ralph that he is a coward towards the beast and that he should be impeached, making Jack the new leader. When no one aggreed Jack storms off saying that he is making his own clan.
  • Chapter Eight

    Chapter Eight
    Simon goes back to the jungle where he was first observing nature in its beauty and sees the impaled head of the pig. Mesmorized by it, Simon goes up to it which is surrounded by flies and seems to come alive. When it comes alive it talks to him saying that he wil never be able to escape him and that he is in every person. Realizing that the pig is talking to him, he faints and collapses.

    Chapter Nine
    Jack and his tribe have a feast and at the same time Ralph and his goup decides to see how the feast is and try to keep it under control. As the boys watch jack and his group, he invites Ralph's group to join his own in which most of the boys do. As it starts to rain, the boys do the rain dance to stop it in which Ralph and Piggy join.

    Chapter Nine
    When the boys were dancing, Simon comes out of the jungle trying to tell the boys that the beast is fake. Not knowing who Simon is the boys act like he is the beast and decide to attack him and maul him to death. The rest of the boys end up throwing Simon and his courpse off the cliff into the ocean.

    When Simon awakes from his encounter with the pig aka "Lord of the Flies," he sees the parachuted man who is dead that was thought to be the beast. Finding this out, Simon; stumbling goes to tell the boys of his discovery that they were freaking out over nothing.

    Chapter Ten
    Ralph and Piggy meet up on the beach back at the camp talking about how they help commit murder towards Simon. While Ralph says that, Piggy who keeps trying to deny that they had murdered him. Back at Jacks camp, they decide to ransack Ralph and his camp for wood during the night.

    Chapter Ten
    During the night, depressed and lacking of sleep Ralph is rudely awakened by shreiking and yelling of Jack and his camp. Jack and his boys beat up Ralph and his members for no reason even though Ralph would have given Jack and his group wood anyways.

    Waking up that morning to pain, Ralph wants to go to Jacks camp trying to convince them how wrong it was to attack Ralph's camp. Ralph then brings the conch thinking it might bring order and rembrence to Jacks members of how much better it was being under Ralph.

    As Ralph and the crew get closer towards Jack's camp they notice there are guards with weapons which are rocks and they tell Ralph to leave while starting to throw rocks. When Jack comes by, Ralph and him start to argue and get into a brawl about how they have the conch and how it was wrong to attack Ralphs group. One of Jacks members then try to push and hit Ralph with a boulder but he moves out of the way and the rock hits Piggy sending him killed into the cliffs and the water.
  • Chapter Twelve

    Chapter Twelve
    As Ralph hides from Jacks group, Ralph sees the old sows head which is just bones on the spear. Taking off the spear, Ralph decides to try to kill Jack. As Ralph goes to Jacks camp the twins give Ralph their food but they dont join him. Jack who finds out, tries to get the boys to kill Ralph and ends up lighting the jungle on fire. As Ralph is being chased away, and he runs on the beach he runs into a naval officer finally realizing he is being saved.
