Homeland
I was born in 1850, live in the hills of Sicly, Italy. It is so nice here. We are farmers, own a bakery/pizzeria and it is still not enough. Papa already moved to the US and after me and mama get plenty of money, so are we. -
The Boat Ride
Finally! We are on our way to America. The fist thing mama packed was here recipies handen down from genration to genration. The boat ride is long and tiring. A few are sick, but we will make it! -
Arival
I see it, I see it! The Statue of Liberty! I am so proud to able to become an American. Mama is keeping it to her self but, she wants to open a bakery and pizzeria. First we need to go to Ellis Island and pass examination. Then find papa. -
Ellis Island
We landed at Ellis Island! We went through easy, being the first of the ship. The phisacal is really wired. I did not like that. Then we saw the the Main Land. The US! Me and Mama ran so fast across the bridge! Then somone stopped us. They handed us a note from Papa! -
The Family Together
We found Papa. Papa is working really hard costucting buildings and roads. He is made fun of but not like the Irish. They are the main joke around New York City. Our English is not that good, but better. We are even making a new bakery and pzzaria with the money Papa makes. -
Riot
A huge riot just ended. Mainly the Irish but, lots of damadge was done. Papa was killed trying to help up a beaten up man. The faimly saw him thought he was trying to kill him, So then they stabbed him, killing him. Mama is really upset. But we found the stash of money he was saving so that will help the bakery, and pizzaria. -
Life is well
Life is great here in America. The Bakery and pizzaria is so successful. People just love the Italian food. Mama is growing tired so I took over the bissness and the recipies. Soon I might make an resterant somewre, but this is fine for now.
