    The French Revolution was started for a multitude of reasons. The main one was because of the way that the higher class treated the lower class citizens. The higher class citizens, otherwise known as the First and Second Estate, treated the Third as if they didn't even exist, and were treated by the royals likewise. After the food prices were so high that the people couldn't even live anymore, they finally revolted against their oppressors. The outcome was bloody years non stop.
  • The Storming of the Bastille

    The Storming of the Bastille
    The storming of the Bastille was the outcome of the passion that the people of Paris had after the Tennis Court Oath was taken. After the oath was struck, the people were so ready to be free of their oppressors that they began to riot. They wanted to take power, but knew that they could only do so with the aid of guns and gun powder. They already had the guns, but they needed the gun powder. The Bastille was known to carry both dangerous prisoners and a lot of gun powder.
  • The Royal Family makes an escape attempt

    The Royal Family makes an escape attempt
    After the people of Paris take King Louis the XVI into basically house arrest along with his family, him, and his family begin to plan for an escape. After three years of being in custody, Louis and his family finally escape, disguised as servants. They almost make it across the French border when they are caught and taken back to Paris and are then branded traitors to France.
  • King Louis the XIV is executed

    King Louis the XIV is executed
    After him and his family are taken back to Paris after their almost successful escape attempt, Louis is tired and charged with treason against France is sentenced to death. Louis is taken to the Guillotine and is publicly executed.
