This was created because of the problem in England with fuel. Trees were being cut down and burned. Also the Steam Engine was made to remove water that was in the bottom of coal mines.

    The submarine is a boat that was built to be able to operate under water long amounts of time. This was created by an American Inventor David Bushnell in 1776. He first called this submarine "Turtle". This was invented to attach expolsives to shiphulls.

    The Cotton Gin is a machine used to separate cottonseeds from cotton fiber. A man named Eli Whitney invented this machine in 1793. In Georgia he saw how long it took a slave to clean one pound of cotton. After creating this slaves could clean up to 50 pounds a day.

    First created by in Belgium by a man named Dr. Richard J. Gatling in 1862. His machine gun was a gun with six barrels that rotate around an axis and also a crank. It was later improved by Hiram S. Maxim in 1884. The machine gun was used for war.
