This increased the speed of planting which means that you can plant more at a time which means you can plant in larger fields. This leads to needing less people to farm so more people can work in the factories. -

The Grain Reaper is a machine that can be used to automatically harvest crops so that harvest is more efficient so the big fields that the farmers planted can all be harvested now. -
