    The Industrial Revolution that occurred from 1750-1910 was a great turning point for America, it had positive aspects that led to great technological advances in technology such as the telephone, airplace and different types of engines.
  • Steam Engine

    James Watt made the perfect steam engine, which made transporting raw materials and goods much easier. One of the most importance of steam engines was that it powered boats and ships, and now the wind was no longer needed to more the ship. Steam Engines showed change in the world beacause it helped drive the Industrial Revolution, which opened new jobs for people and drew them into urban areas.
  • Spinning Mule

    The spinning mule, also known as the mule jenny, was invented by Samual Crompton in 1779. Spinning mules was a major step in textile industries, it wss one of the first invention that opened a mechanized way of producing cloth. This shows change beacause it speeded up the process of textile products.
  • Power Loom

    The power loom was inveted by Edmud Cartwright, it was used to weave yarn in textiles. The power loom made spinning yarn faster and easier for workers, making clothes a lot cheaper and better quality. The power looms brought many changes into the world, now workers worked based on the clock, it brought more women and children into the work place and also put out some small craftsmen out of business.
  • Cotton Gin

    Cottin Gin was invented by Eli Whitney in 1793. The cottin gin was important because it reduced the amount of time it took to separate cotton seeds from cotton fiber. This is a change beacause it made cotton a more pliable crop for the southern US and it helped to create an economic boom.
  • Telegragh

    The telegragh was invented by Samuel F. B. Morse, in 1836. It gave American the chance to send and receive messages, and it also lead to the invention of the telephone. The telegraph changed society by making eaier to communicate with each other.
  • Sewing Machine

    The first sewing machine was invented by Elias Howe. Sewing machines had made clothes easy to make, if it was not made we wouldnt be wearing such nice clothes. This shows change beacause back in the days sewing was done by hand and now its done my machines.
  • Internal Combution Engine

    The internal combution engine was invented by Jean Lenoir in 1858. It is a heat engine in which furl is burned, it helped our country during the industrial revolution allowing people to get arounf faster while caring mass amout. The internal combution engine changed the world by providing people more jobs in a wider area
  • Telephone

    The telephone was invented by Alexander Graham Bell in 1878. It made communication easier and much quicker for people. The telephone led to various communication deviced used today. The invention on the telephone is a continuity, today we still use phones to communicate with each other.
  • Phonograph

    The phonograph was invented by Thomas Edison in 1877, allowing people to listen to music anywhere. Now one wouldnt have to attend a live performance to hear music,, they coulnd have entertainment from their own homes. It changed the world by allowing them to listen to music without being at the theatre.
  • First Airplane

    The first airplane was invented by brothers named Orville and Wilbur Wright in 1903. Now people can deliver crops and other items faster, and could hold people imstead of using boats. The plane had changed the world by making it more connected and globalized.
