Panama Canal
A canal built as a purpose of a passage for ship from the Alantic to the Pacific ocean. The canal is make it fast and cheaper to travel to each ocean. It is extending their power of their location so this is consindered an imperialism. -
Hay-Buanau-Varilla Treaty
A treaty between the US and Panama and was created by the US which happened in two places. (New York City & Washington D.C.) The treaty stated that the United States wa to recieve rights to a zone which was extended five miles on either side of the canal route. It is an imperialism because it's another tricky way of extending their power. -
Roosevelt Corollary
The Roosevelt Corollary is the Monroe Doctrine that was articulated by President Theodore Roosevelt in his State of the Union address in 1904 after the Venezula Crisis. The Roosevelt Corollary shows imperalism for the U.S. because this document is just another way the U.S. could control and extend another countries power. -
US occupation of the Dominican Republic
The United States assumed administration of the Domincan Republic's customs. Techinaly they took over the domincan republicans life style and changed things thinking it was for the better. This is considered an imperialism because the U.S. extended its power by controlling the Dominicans. -

The Great White Fleet
The Great White Fleet was the popular nickname for the United States Navy battle fleet that completed a circumnavigation of the globe from 16 December 1907 to Feburary 22nd 1909 by order of U.S. President Theodore Roosevelt, Imperialism is shown in this act because the battle is an example of the U.S. extending thier countries power through military force.
