The Berlin Conference divided African up among the fourteen strongest European nations in 1884 to 1885. No African leader or ruler was invited or informed of the meetings and the conference still decided Africa's place. -

The Roosevelt Corollary was created by President Theodore Roosevelt as an addition to the Monroe Doctrine. It was given in his State of the Union address in 1904
