The day when I was first born. -
Parents Die
My parents were walking home together, when they were ambushed by robbers. My father tried to protect my mother, but was shot. My mother was soon shot after. At age 5 my parents died and my brother became my official guardian. I love him a lot for being there for me. He was at the age of 14 when we lost our parents. -
Immigration to America
Today was the day where me and my brother decided to immigrate to America from Seoul, South Korea. Our parents died, so we've been together for a long time. When we frist immigrated to America we had to learn a new language because we had orginated from Korea. It was very difficult to understand what people were saying, but we soon figured it out after a year. It is also my 10th birthday today. -
Got Robbed
We were robbed when we were at the grocery store buying food. We were careless, and the didn't realize that a robbery was happening until he stole all our money. We lost all our money, and our rent was coming up soon. We had to make money fast. We lost our apartment because we didn't make enough money on time. We stayed on the streets for awhile, working as hard as we could to get money. Using some of the money to buy food. Soon enough though we had enought money to rent an apartment. -
Decided to Move West
Today we decided to move west to get a better life by claiming free land. There are also many more job opportunities in the west that will probably open up to us. -
Race for Land
Today's the day. The day where me and my brother are going to claim land for ourselves. We each buy a horse from the money we made, and then we set off towards the race. My heart was pounding, and when the gun went off, I urged my horse foward at full speed. It felt so amazing, the wind in my face, the rush of excitement. But when a horse crashes into me, I fall. My brother screeches to a stop. I tell him to just hurry and claim our land, that I'll be there soon. He nods and takes off. -
Brother Builds a House
We had claimed our land, and soon my brother builds a beautiful house on our land. We now have a beautiful home. -
Medical Field Job
I finally get a job in the medical field. The pay is high and good, and if I continue at this pace, we can buy farm land. -
Farm Land
Me and my brother finally make enough money to buy farm land and plant crops on it.
