Me and Arron both got a job as a grave digger like Arrons ancestors had been and we both make very little money but we need a way to make money for us to live on.

I decided to move to america with my husband, Arron. We both worked as grave diggers in England and are wishing to come to america for a higher pay. We are from the lowest class in England and have very little money and want a new start.

Me and Arron moved to america, we were in steerege along with many other people we were packed in and there was little room to move, we were only able to bring a small amount of money, some of our tools that we used while digging graves to sell or use to get a job, and one other pair of clothes besides the ones on our backs. Ellis island was a beautiful sight and feeling that I will nat forget in my lifetime.

We found a small room to stay for the time being and moved in as soon as possible. The rent is only $1 a week so it is not that bad.

Me and Arron both had to get a job in a sweatshop to be able to pay for the room we are renting out. We may get payed very little and have a harsh work enviroment but we are still making a living. we both get payed $1.22 a day.

After only being in America for 10 days i have gotten sick and i am no longer able to work, Arron is forced to work longer hours to be able to pay for our room to live in.

after being sick for six days i have healed and am able to go back to work, Arron has had a hard time paying for us to live so with us both working again i guess its better now.

Arron and i stole a horse to get to the West, with very little money we needed a way to travel and we had to get there before everyone else if we were to get the land so we couldnt walk

We finally decided it was time to move and that we need a new place to call home so we collected as much money as we could find and headed west to Washington for a new start.

we finally made it to Washington and found a beautiful peice of land. it wasnt cheap but we will be able to make money and live our lifes here

arron gets a job as a cow hand and is payed $25 to $30 a month which is enough to get us through our lives.

Aaron passed away after the owner of the horse we stole found and shot him leaving me with our land, a small amount of money, adn the house we built together.
