  • Lifetime of Lucy

    Lucy is 4 million years old. Lucy is 2 feet and she walks upright. She biped and she uses her hands but, 3-4 feet. She has teeth to draw and find food. She isn't limited by what they could eat ans there is a big variety.
  • Homo Habilus

    Homo Habilus lived about 2 million years ago. They were smarter than Lucy and they had bigger brains. They made tools by being smarter and makin the old rock/axe tool. They could kill animals and hunt with this rock.They could travel around too.
  • Homo Erectus

    Homo Erectus is about 1.8 million years old. They have teeth and they are taller. Their brains are bigger and smarter. They created fire never tried to let their fires out. The fires really protected them in many ways.
  • Homo Neandrathals

    Homo Neandrathals was about 500,000 years old.Their eyebrows were bigger and also their foreheads. Their brains were bigger and they were stronger. they were more more of communities and they always stayed together. They buried the dead with tools because they cared about them. they tried food and if it was poisonous they died. they even tried to heal each other.
  • Homo Sapiens Sapiens

    Homo Sapiens Sapiens were much taller and smaller. They grew thins and discovered crops and started to stay in one place. They used symbols for communications. Their tools were way better and they still always stayed together and protected each other. They kept burying their dead with tools and they kept making fires to protect themselves.
  • The Rise of the Kingdom of Sumer

    Ancient Sumer started in 3,500 BCE and it ended in 2,300 BCE. Sumer was 1,200 yaers old. The king of Sumer was a monarchy and he was chosen by the gods. This king was Gilgamesh and he collected taxes, built temples and led the army . They all believed in the same gods. They started using pictographs, but then it all ended in cuneiforms and it was carved into clay.The ancient Sumerians invented wheels and architechure and used irigation and plowing. They valued medal workers,architechs,and music.
  • The Epic of Gilgamesh

    The best copy of the old Gigamesh was found in 7th century BCE. So basically,Gilgamesh was the king of the ancient city Uruk. He was considered a hero back then. He was very ruthless, merciful, and harsh on his people.Even though he was like this the people didn't care and they worked for him.He also protected his city and all of his people. He went on adventures that were wild too. Also,civilizations like this one can leave truth behind, about culture, writing,religion and things like that.
  • Abraham

    Abraham vame around 1900 BCE. Abraham lived in ancient Ur in ancient Mesopotamia. Him and his wife Sarah couldn't have children and they wanted to. Then they finally had a child when they were elders. The baby was named Isaac and then god told Abraham to sacrifice his son and since he was going to obey, god stopped him. Abraham is important because he is talked about in the bible, which historians can use his story to find evidence on ancient Egyptians and others that lived there before.
  • Hammurabi

    Hammurabi was around from 1792-1750 BCE. He lived in ancient Bbylon in ancient Mesopotamia. He was a king and was there to keep order. His punishments were very harsh and involved lots of torturing to death. One of his important laws was to not rob or break in to somewhere. In my opinion though, I think that his code of laws was unjust because of all the cruel punishments and not giving second chances or giving a less cruel punishment.
  • Joseph goes to Egypt and the Israelites follow

    This event went on to 1700 until 1280 BCE. Jacob was one of Isacc's sons ansd Joseph was Jacob's son. Joseph was Jacob's favorite son out of many others. Then his brothers became jealous and sold him into slavery. He went to Egypt bcause the slaveowner carried him to Egypt. He intewrpreted people's dreams there and when his brothers came eo visit he forgave them. He moved them because he had become famous.
  • Moses and the Exodus

    This was from 1280-1240 BCE. Moses was one of the many sons of Jacob,which was Joseph's son. Moses was Jacob's favorite and his brothers were jealous of him. He then got sent to Egypt by his jealous brothers and got sold onto slavery. When his brothers visited , Moses forgave them. He is important because he traveled around ancient Egypt and around those places that are now helpful rescouces.
  • The Time of Judges and The Time Before Kings

    This was from the 13th century- 11th century BCE. Deborah was important because she was the judge of ancient Israel. She had to keep order in Israel. She also recruited Barak to fight Sisera and his bad people. Ruth was always taking care of her elder and sick mother. She had to look for scarps of food accidentally dropped and left there on purpose and feed it to her mother
  • The Reign of David

    This went on from 1013-973 BCE. David was kind of a ordinary guy before and he became king for being brave. He stood up to the tallest man and subdued him, but then had to hide because he didn't want to get in trouble. He was important because he became king by being strong and brave.
  • Elijah

    This went on from 875-853 BCE. Elijah had been poor and his village was poor. This poorness was a punishment from god to the people. He told god that he would do anythingt o not starve. So he had to be outside in hte rain for days without anything or anyone. He tried his best and succeededand tried to help out other people too.
  • The Siege of Lachish

    The city of Lachish was found in 701 BCE. First of all, the story of Lachish was told on many pictures and walls and it was called a relief because the the pictures kind of poped out at you. The largest land empire created at that time was the one that streched from Iran to Egypt and they call it the Middle East now. Also, during the war of Lachish, the slaves and refugees's got hurt, injured, and they were tired of so much war.
  • The Siege of Jerusalem

    The Kingdom of Judah was found in 587 BCE. First of all, they had strips of gold on their temples. Then it was stolen all from their enemies. Also, 10,000 people of Judah had to be exiled to Babylon and they were godd and innocent. Also, Zedekiah's sons for him, trying to be good and helpful, but against Nebuchadrezzar.
  • The Indus Valley Civilization

    This was originally found in 2000 BCE. They really liked too be clean and ritually bathed. MohenjoDaro contained a big public tank of water for bathing. Also, terra-cotta figurines were found were found under the Indus Valley in the dirt. Their gods and goddesses were kept in belief too because they had found small ceramic figures. Water was very sacred to them in their own religious way.
  • The Aryan invasion and the Vedas

    Thid was originally found in 1700 BCE. Their race was powerful and they conquered lots of things. they were ferom the Hindu kush and the Himalayas. Their beliefs were kind of different in a way. they worshpped male gods only and the main one was, "sky father".
  • The Ascetics and the Utnapishads

    This was originally found in 700-500 BCE. They migrated across India to the Ganges Valley. Acsetic meant back then to be someone who was dedicated to a spiritual life of austerity and discipline. They liked to gather and meditate a lot. They represented the elite of the society and they had Brahmin preists back then.
