Due to the fact that we are a small town, we could probably help about 15 to 20 families. This is because we don’t have a lot of space that can be used as accommodation for the refugees. If there was more space, we would be more than happy to help more families. -
We live in a small town compared to other ones, but that doesn’t mean we don’t have places where refugees can stay at. We can use some of the unused areas and places that have open spaces, so kids can run around in, and have enough room to set up portakabins for them to sleep in. We could also provide them with pillows and blankets for when it gets cold. Lastly, we could help them by setting up showers, so everybody can clean themselves. -
There are a lot of kinds of entrepreneurship that can be developed. For example, we can provide job offers to the refugees at our local bakeries and super markets, depending on their profession. Also, we could give them jobs in different factories that need more workers. Lastly, we could help by finding them even one-day jobs, just so they could get some supplies, if there are no jobs available. -
There are actually a few ways schools could help the refugees. First of all, schools can set up donation programs where students can donate any kind of clothing that they don't need, and food so the refugees could feed themselves. Also, there should be Greek lessons provided by the government so kids can learn the Greek language. Last but not least, super markets could donate food to the refugees as well. -
Refugees can help our community in many ways. Firstly, they can boost the economy by spending money on local shops and markets. Secondly, they provide the manpower for local factories. Lastly, the refugees and the locals will learn how to cooperate, creating a better result in economy, because "Teamwork makes the Dream work".
